Praying for Your Church

Praying for Your Church

Dear God, teach us to love one another with brotherly affection, to outdo one another in showing honor. May we never be slothful in zeal, but fervent in spirit, serving You. Teach us to rejoice in hope, to be patient in tribulation, and to be constant in prayer. May we happily contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality to all. (Romans 12:10-13) May none of us think of ourselves more highly than we ought to think, but think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that You have assigned us. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. (Romans 12:3–5)

Father, help us to be patient and kind, not arrogant or rude; to rejoices with the truth, not to insist on our own way, or to be irritable or resentful. Teach us to bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, endure all things. May our love never end.  (1 Corinthians 13:4–7) Let us not to pass judgment on one another, but rather never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. (Romans 14:13). May we live in harmony with one another. (Romans 12:16) And welcome one another like Christ welcomed us, for the glory of God. (Romans 15:7) We want to aim for restoration, to comfort one another, to agree with one another, and to live in peace Lord. (2 Corinthians 13:11) May we bear one another’s burdens. (Galatians 6:2) Help us to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave us. (Ephesians 4:32) With all humility and gentleness, with patience, may we bear with one another in love. (Ephesians 4:2)

Dear Lord, help us to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. (Ephesians 5:21) May we bear with one another and, if one of us has a complaint against another, may we forgive each other; as the Lord has forgiven us. (Colossians 3:13) We will not repay anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. (1 Thessalonians 5:15)

Father, may the word of Christ dwell in us richly so that we can teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in our hearts to God. (Colossians 3:16) May encourage one another and build one another up. (1 Thessalonians 5:11) And may we never fail to meet together, encourage one another, (Hebrews 10:25) and show hospitality to one another without grumbling. (1 Peter 4:9)
